Feng Shui is both about being in a position to take full advantage of opportunities that come your way, AND about neutralizing negative energy coming your way, so that it impacts you less. Unlike in the West, luck is not viewed as a matter of CHANCE in Chinese culture.
The luck you are born with is called Heaven Luck, and the luck you make with your own efforts is called Man Luck. Most people’s lives in the West are a patchwork of the two.
But the Chinese believe in the third type of luck (which until recently was unknown in the West) called Earth Luck, which is another name for Feng Shui. Together, these three types of luck make up the Chinese Trinity of Luck.
Feng Shui is used to secure prosperity and respect, secure longevity, have more children, increase business opportunities, improve your social life, enhance your marital prospects, enable to you better “go with the flow,” and to make your life function more smoothly.
