My family recently downsized from a large 1880s farmhouse to a smaller home here in Westchester County. We had a record number of tag sales just so we could fit in the door. I even pulled out an old book on the art of feng shui, to help inspire a positive atmosphere. Decluttering really cleared the mind and gave our new place a good flow.
If you'd like to do the same, New Rochelle Public Library is offering some guidance on the use of feng shui. On Saturday, Jan. 29, from 1 p.m. to 2:30 pm, Linda Boney, certified feng shui practitioner, will get participants started decluttering their lives and removing the obstacles blocking their success.
Boney has appeared on Good Day New York, BronxNet cable television and the World of Perspective Radio Show. She has two certificates from the Feng Shui Alliance School in Clifton, NJ. The Friends of the New Rochelle Public Library is responsible for this “Smart Saturdays Workshop.”
